Girlfriends

When we were young, you were my friend,
We did everything together.
But then I thought that men were finer
GIRL was I a fool.

Give yourself to a man you may go
mental but Girlfriends never let you down.
A man is just fine when he wines you and dines you but you know he never gets
your mind.

The world gets cold as we grow old
and we may feel like it’s the end.
But face lift or gray hair you don’t care you’ll be there. I’m so glad you’re my
best friend.

I once ran away to flee from all the
madness. But I discovered oh so soon
running just brought sadness.

Now we face our fears and we go shopping
to solve the problems in our lives.
We discover again that we need each other,
because,
Girlfriends stay your friend until the end.

I was high when I had thin thighs
but got low if my looks started to fade.
But gain weight or lose weight you don’t
care about my shape. I’m so glad you’re
my best friend.

We all had affairs that should have been
platonic, but we fell under the spell of men.
Now I know those affairs were just a tonic
but a better bet is time with my Girlfriends.

Time rolls on and my youth is gone and I
can’t straighten up when I bend. But stiff
neck or stiff knees we’ll be
friends eternally.

Girlfriends, I said Girlfriends, I don’t mean
boyfriends, Girlfriends are the best ...
